Letter from A Delhi DuDe!!

             Letter from A Delhi DuDe!!

Dear South Indian babe

Namaskar sat sri akal adab and hello from the Great North of India or you must know the land of five rivers. I was born in New Delhi and each day of my life has addicted me more to this wonderful city. I know many who came from small cities and towns to the capital and  for better education and opportunities and they don’t regret their decision one bit and more over they too are so much hooked to this city that they avoid going to their home town even when they can.

The reputation is growing like hell as thousands of people come to the capital almost every day and don’t want to go back (fact). I understand that not everybody can pull off stone faded, ripped jeans, V-neck cleavage showing t-shirts as not everybody is blessed with a good body but now there are other ways too you can go the gym and if that too doesn’t help, there are plastic surgeons every where including south India I suppose. The feeling of jealousy is never pretty and so is the truth. Hugh Hefner is no rapist!! every woman who comes to him no matter how young she is and how old he is, comes by herself she is not kidnapped or forced for Christ sake don’t ruin his image people… Hefner’s playmates are more than safe than any woman in the so called female conducive cities like Bangalore or even Bombay of India.

The hitting game happens at almost every party and EVERY WHERE…It can be the most famous buy you a drink game when you try to get the other person drunk or the have you met game and obviously when you are actually in conversation with some body you’ll talk about things of your interest and if the other person stays that means he/she is interested if not they may make any excuse and go away. And yes guys talk about SUVs, gadgets and nightclubs if that’s something new for you then I guess really there are more FEMALES in South India than in the Great North of India. Seriously no body absolutely no body cares where are you from South Delhi or India when you are good with people no body cares what type of hair do you have or what is the colour of your skin until you are looking sketchy or hideous (fact) and that would happen any where.

A description of a girl with curly hair, dusky skin and lower–back-length lustrous cascading tresses can turn on every man on the planet and seriously at least I don’t have a PROBLEM. Talking about how mothers and fathers react in families is mainly a cultural difference according to me. Hey Bhagwaan, our engliS is bad okay but at least we speak the national language right and that too in the right accent. So just shut up!! and admit it and the truth is always UGLY but not people. If you talk about society every society has its up and downside. It is a fact that the number of  rape cases are increasing in the North India but that doesn’t mean you start hating each and every man because that is a sickness (not talking about lesbians) similarly you can’t take out your frustration by pointing out issues like this as big cities like New York, Cape Town, Las Vegas etc. also have issues like these and rapes happen every where.

You talk about society in past it was all same for the women not only India but in the world but things gradually have changed and you will not find any place or organization in the world where there are no PUNJABIS at higher positions. It seems some people have a bit of a inferiority complex which leads to frustration. I went to goa earlier this year I interacted with a bunch of guys from UK and US, they too knew the difference between North Indians and South Indians surprising but true. I have my family and friends living in New York, London and in Vancouver. I hear a lot of things from them as well but what I am sharing right now is what those people said and I must tell you that three of them were white and two were BLACK. They described south Indians( Not Maharashtrians) as those people who have good and high paying jobs but still live a low life almost unlike the others. Punjabis are generous is a well known fact and admitted that they have Punjabi friends and they visit Punjabi restaurants even. Mainly what I want a say is when you are the one who is moving out from your home town to some other place so you will have to change yourself as you are there for your own selfish reason no body called you there. I understand North or South it is INDIA but you have to admit that yes there is cultural difference and you won’t get anything for being stubborn other than FRUSTRATION. It is a Hindi(National Language) saying I hope you must have heard “Jaisa Desh Waisa Bhes”. Don’t take Desh literal for country only because the meaning it portrays is “CULTURAL DIFFERENCE”.

I must remind the people Hema Malini, Sri Devi and Aishwarya Rai with their natural banal looks don’t even hold a candle to Priyanka Chopra after her two nose jobs and one lip reconstruction surgery. But I must also remind that all three of them fell in love with NORTH Indians and two of them are PUNJABIS only. We never mind if any body wishes us Happy Diwali Eid Mubarak or Happy Guru Purab or even Happy Ugadi or happy Karaga we on the contrary give our wishes as the capital New Delhi has people from all over and we respect that.

The Delhi Dudes are more than nice to people who are nice but tell you what One thing which is most interesting and you call weird or sarcastic is that when you criticize people of Delhi and are burning with fury we often celebrate LOHRI even before and after the actual date ;->
CHEERS!!

Yours
Delhiite
(Any body can call me that)

Living a Happy Life

Sounds easy isn’t it? Well it isn't that easy but the most difficult goal to achieve in life or one can also call it as a goal which can never be achieved. We all run after this particular goal throughout our lives but at the same time it is running from us, True Story!!.

We all have moments in our lives where we feel that ohh yes! this is now perfect or how much more perfect it can get. The moment you feel that something goes wrong. Then again one’s priorities and  everything changes.
We run after things like I want that car, that house or that boy or that girl actually we are running after happiness and as I told you it is always running from us.

The moment you have that particular thing in your life, its importance gets less and something else’s importance increases and that is how the world works. Almost everything which makes us happy is short lived but exceptions are always there and people may or may not agree with me. Is it right that we don’t respect whatever that we have and always run after new things?

Setting up goals for yourself is good but is it right that the goals which you have already achieved have no importance...NO Actually unknowingly your previous goals only give you the power and energy to go ahead and achieve new ones.

Nobody is happy. Actually nobody wants to be happy. Happiness is a feeling which you can make yourself feel but you cannot buy it even if you have a lot of money. Why is nobody happy? The simple answer to that is because nobody wants to be. We should learn how to live a happy life.

To start with it first of all become an optimist, and try to feel all the positive energy around you. Try to keep that feeling of more to the minimum as the feeling of more always comes in the way whether we are talking money, respect or anything. Feel more than satisfied with what you have right now in your life or I must say with whatever you are blessed with, it helps a LOT. If you are happy, live the moment without thinking about what will happen in the future or what had already happened in the past because it MAY be the last time you were happy or may be the last moment in your LIFE.

Keep smiling is one of the common way but it actually helps. Find out what kind of problems are faced by the less fortunate on a daily basis and I swear to god at that moment you will feel like you are the most blessed or the luckiest person alive on the planet and tell you what, you are. There is a very nice Oscar nominated Hollywood movie called The Pursuit of Happiness starring Will Smith, the movie which tells its audience that happiness can be felt only at your own will.

There is an old saying by the famous Guru Nanak, founder of the Sikh religion.

Nanak Dukhiya Sab Sansaar…Guru Nanak

It means the whole world is miserable. There is sorrow in everyone’s life, to some extent, But It is the Sorrow which enhances the Value and Joy of the Happiness which follows.

My Grandfather always tells me to recite this Sanskrit quote or mantra or prayer I don’t know what exactly it is but it has a wonderful meaning.

Prasan Wadhanam Dhyaye Sarv Wighano Prashante…

This basically means keep smiling and all obstacles in your life will go away. A smiling face has the power to withstand any obstacle or problem.

It is quite simple when you are able to keep yourself happy and contended in your life, everything becomes easier. That smile of yours comes automatically on your face and becomes a part of your life.

It is like its in your hands to be happy or not. You can have everything and not be happy while at the same time the you can have nothing and be happy.

Happiness Is like a Butterfly; the More You Chase It, the More It Will Elude You, but If You Turn Your Attention to other Things, It Will Come and Sit Softly on Your Shoulder...Thoreau

Cheers!!
